GM2 has significant vertical design experience. GM2 has provided structural and site/civil and land survey services on twelve schools over the past six years.  These projects range from modest additions and renovations in the five to ten million dollar range to new Magnet Schools in the fifty to eighty million dollar range. GM2’s structural engineers have also worked on a number of administrative spaces, including bank offices, the offices at ESPN, and town administrative offices. Complementing our design capabilities, GM2 offers Peer Review and Special Inspection services. Our structural engineers are well versed in all applicable building codes including IBC, AISC, and ACI.  They have performed peer reviews on complex multi-story steel framed buildings and precast parking garages.  Our structures group has significant field experience as well as performing special inspections and resident engineering services.

GM2 was the structural engineer of record for the Colt Gateway restoration project. This assignment encompassed a hundred ten million dollar adaptive reuse of the one million square foot historic Colt Armory in Hartford, CT.  Additionally, GM2 was selected by the State of Connecticut OPM and DPW to provide structural design work involving these state agencies. In addition, GM2 has provided peer review to a number of private clients.
