GM2 was the prime designer for Drakes Landing, a 32-unit Open Space Preservation Development situated on 26 acres of land along Main Street (Route 113) in West Newbury, Massachusetts. The development consists of 31 separate buildings, providing 28 market rate units and 4 affordable units, and almost 18 acres of open space (about 70%). Access to the development is provided with a variable width driveway with walkways throughout. Parking is provided via a driveway and garage at each unit. The site features a walking trail network, a wetland replication area, a permanent pond, and a living wall used as a retaining wall.
