Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in engineering required; civil engineering degree preferred. Florida PE License required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. A minimum of 5 years of drainage design experience for highway and/or site civil projects required; Florida DOT drainage design experience is highly preferred. Experience with StormWise (formerly ICPR) , HEC-RAS, or other similar hydrologic/hydraulic analysis design software for highway and/or site/civil projects. Experience preparing drainage reports, pond siting reports, etc. and associated drainage calculations for highway and/or site/civil projects. Experience with permitting of highway and/or site/civil design projects involving local, state and/or federal agencies. Experience with MicroStation, ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar CAD software. Responsibilities Work on a variety of projects including roadway projects, surface water management studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage analysis and design, flood studies, and bridge hydraulics. Prepare hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage areas maps, storm sewer networks, stormwater management facilities, drainage reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for highway and site/civil design projects. Prepare and submit local, state and/or federal stormwater permit applications for highway design and sit/civil design projects. Competencies Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
