Responsibilities Lead and manage the preparation and execution of PD&E (Project Development and Environment) studies, ensuring full compliance with NEPA and FDOT guidelines. Oversee project concept alternative and design plan reviews to ensure they meet all applicable standards and guidelines. Provide technical expertise and guidance in identifying project risks, opportunities for schedule acceleration, and strategies to minimize impacts. Assist in the strategic planning and growth of the PD&E team within GM2. Lead quality control reviews for PD&E, planning, and related disciplines, ensuring high standards and compliance. Manage project deliverables, including concept/design plans, reports, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project goals. Prepare and manage project budgets, track invoices, and ensure financial targets are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies. Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, Letters of Response, and other marketing materials for PD&E project pursuits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within one year of employment is preferred, but not required based on qualifications. Minimum of 8 years of experience in PD&E studies, with a strong understanding of NEPA requirements. Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of clients. Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills. Experience in marketing and managing a variety of projects for FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies. Seeking an individual who can lead the design of our Wellington Office bridge projects while also providing day-to-day leadership and technical expertise to the junior bridge staff. An expertise in the design, analysis, and constructability of bridges ranging in complexity from culverts to highway interchange structures utilizing steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete is required.
