Requirements

  • BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years of site civil design experience
  • Florida PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and provides guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC procedures
  • Experience with preparation of paving, grading and drainage plans, performing detailed flood routing calculations, pavement design, water and wastewater transmission and collection systems, cost estimating and able to produce construction documents using Civil 3D
  • Must have working knowledge of commonly used design software such as StormWise (formerly ICPR4),and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Must be able to handle all permitting requirements with jurisdictional agencies, county and municipal governments
  • Experience managing the scheduling and resource management of multiple projects for multiple clients
  • Oversee technical staff in terms of scheduling and quality control
  • Communicate with clients regarding their projects
  • Design of paving, grading and drainage plans for land development projects
  • Perform Quality Control plans checking for other engineers
  • Assist in developing new client relationships

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal oriented and able to work with a team, interact with clients, coordinate with consultants and have good written and spoken communication skills.
