Key Responsibilities:
- Work on a variety of projects including roadway projects, surface water management studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage analysis and design, flood studies, and bridge hydraulics.
- Prepare hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage areas maps, storm sewer networks, stormwater management facilities, drainage reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for highway and site civil.
- Prepare and submit local, state and/or federal stormwater permit applications for highway design and site/civil design projects.
Qualifications:
- Educational - Bachelor's degree in engineering required; civil engineering degree preferred.
- Experience - A minimum of 5 years of drainage design experience for highway and/or site civil projects required; Florida DOT drainage experience is highly preferred. Experience with StormWise (formerly ICPR), HEC-RAS, or other similar hydrologic/hydraulic analysis design software for highway and/or site/civil projects.
- Licenses & Certifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Technical Skills & Knowledge - Proficiency in MicroStation, ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software.
- Project & Client Management - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, effective time management
- Leadership - Excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, strong work ethic.
