Position Overview:

GM2 Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Traffic and Planning Project Manager to lead and manage comprehensive traffic engineering and planning studies. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in conducting traffic engineering analyses, simulations, and delivering projects aligned with client and community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute complex traffic and transportation planning studies including PD&Es, Interchange Access Requests (IARs), and specialized traffic analyses.
  • Perform advanced traffic simulation and analysis using software such as Vissim, Visum, Synchro, SumTraffic, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), and CORSIM.
  • Engage proactively with clients, maintaining strong relationships, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Actively contribute to business develoment activities, including clien outreach, proposal writing, and securing new project opportunities. 
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence. 

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience with traffic engineering studies and simulation software includng: Vissim, Visum, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, CORSIM.
  • Project & Client Management: Proven track record of successfully managing transportation projects. Experience in maintaining client relaitonships. Experience in winning new work (business development).
  • Leadership: Excellent ability to manage team, though leadership with exceptional analytical skills and effective communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning or related field.
  • Licensure & Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or AICP certification are highly preferred.
