Position Overview:

GM2 Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Planner (AICP Certified) to join our team in Tampa, FL, with the flexibility for remote work. In this full-time role, the Planner will play a key part in managing planning projects, ensuring they align with client needs and objectives. The position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams, conducting research, preparing comprehensive reports, and offering strategic planning guidance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in urban, land use, and environmental planning, along with a deep understanding of zoning regulations and land development codes. The Planner will work closely with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and provide expert advice on planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning projects and ensure alignment with client requirements and objectives
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement strategic planning solutions
  • Conduct research to gather relevant data and insights for planning initiatives
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and planning documents for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies and internal executives to ensure smooth project execution
  • Provide strategic planning guidance to clients, offering recommendations based on data analysis and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Urban Planning, Land Use Planning, and Environmental Planning skills (3 years)
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in GIS mapping, data analysis, and project management
  • Design & Compliance: Strong knowledge of zoning regulations and land development codes
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and people skills
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field
  • Licensure: AICP Certification
  • Software Skills: GIS
