Shawna Bartkus is a Vice President of GM2 and also serves as the firm's Director of Marketing. She brings over 25 years of diverse A/E/C industry expertise to her role. As the firm's Director of Marketing, she has been instrumental in the award of the firm's most significant projects and new market firsts including the construction engineering and inspection of the $187M I-84/Route 8 Reconstruction in Waterbury, CT; the $200M I-95 Resurfacing and Safety Improvements Project in Greenwich and Stamford, CT; and GM2's first PEL project, I-95 in Bridgeport and Fairfield, CT.
Prior to joining GM2 in 2017, she served as H.W. Lochner Inc.'s Aviation and Northeast Regional Aviation Marketing Manager. In said capacity she was successful in winning several multi-million dollar contracts including the firm's first international airport contract.
Shawna is an adaptable leader that is impactful in implementing new direction while maintaining the firm's and/or client project's bigger picture in focus. As a Vice President of GM2, Ms. Bartkus has developed and implemented new procedures to improve firm-wide communication, manages the firm's state registrations and annual reporting, assists in recruiting, and works closely with the firm's senior leadership and President to maintain the firm's culture and growth.
Within the A/E/C industry, Shawna has served on the board of WTS Connecticut in the capacity of President and Chair for the organization's Advisory Council, Mentor Program and Scholarship Program. She has also served on the State Board of the A/C/E Mentor Program of CT, Inc. as the Chair of the New Haven Chapter.
Within her community, Shawna has served on boards of grassroots organizations where she has lead fundraising initiatives, developed program policies and procedures, and educational programs.
