📣 INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHT 📣
GM2 was selected for the 2023 MassDOT Consultant Project Award based on our submission of the South Bay Harbor Trail project. Last night key staff members on the project attended the 2023 MassDOT Innovation Conference to receive the Consultant Award. Pictured is GM2’s very own David Giangrande MS,PE receiving this award from Jonathan Gulliver, MassDOT Administrator, and Gina Fiandaca, MA Secretary of Transportation.
The South Bay Harbor Trail is a 3.5-mile, multiuse and multimodal Trail. It connects the Ruggles MBTA station and the nearby neighborhoods to the Boston Harbor waterfront at Fan Pier. GM2 prepared a survey of the corridor and carefully included open space, traffic equipment, private property and public agency concerns in a corridor subject to frequent changes driven by the Central Artery Project. The trail uses existing roadway right of way and Chapter 91 access ways while connecting to many destination points. This includes Ruggles and Broadway T stations, the Crosstown Development, Fan Pier Development, the Children’s Museum and Federal Court House. Learn more about this project at https://lnkd.in/dyqus-3W
