GM2 Associates, Inc. (GM2), a Connecticut engineering corporation operating in all New England states, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida announces the acquisition of Alan Gerwig & Associates, Inc. (AGA) of Wellington, FL. GM2’s mission is to provide engineering services in civil infrastructure that have broad social importance.
“AGA expands our Florida presence. Prior to the acquisition our Tampa office was serving central and northern Florida. We now have a presence in south Florida; a very important market for DOT, county and municipal work. We are honored to have the staff of AGA join GM2,” said Manish Gupta, PhD, PE, CEO/President of GM2.
AGA, established in 1998, is a structural and civil engineering firm providing consulting services within the education, government, industrial and land development markets throughout Florida. AGA’s core values of professional excellence, people first, sustainability and community, align with GM2’s culture to provide outstanding engineering while keeping people first.
“As Manish and I began exploring the possibility of AGA being acquired by GM2 we quickly discovered that both our firms were founded on common principles: providing our clients with an exceptional level of service, delivering a quality engineering product, and gauging our success on our client’s success,” said Alan Gerwig, PE, President of AGA and now Senior Vice President of GM2. “I am looking forward to what the future holds as we combine our unique experience with GM2’s already vast offerings of client services.”
GM2 has more than 200-employees providing services to the transportation, construction, energy, land development, rail and transit, aviation, municipal, and education markets. Over the past three years the firm has strategically grown to better support its clients by broadening its services and strengthening its depth of resources in key locations. For the next three years the firm plans to expand organically and through acquisitions. GM2 is licensed to provide services in all New England states, FL, NY, NJ, MD, PA, TX, VA, and Puerto Rico.
