GM2’s design replaces the existing 347FT structure with two independent, single span Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil-Integrated System structures (GRS-IBS) that utilize two contiguous abutments in the I-91 median and raises the Bassett Road profile to provide a 16’-3” vertical clearance over I-91. GM2’s scope of work included comprehensive engineering design services for the final design of the replacement bridge including all aspects of design and coordination.
