Contracted by the CTDOT, GM2 provided bridge inspection and design services for the major rehabilitation of this historic built-up open spandrel, steel arch bridge. The severity of the deterioration necessitated the removal and dismantling of particular elements for repair and development of a paint system that worked under crevice corrosion conditions. GM2 developed the consequent final design of this bridge including the related environmental permit applications, PS&E contract documents, construction staging plans and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic.
