GM2 performed traffic analyses and conceptual level design services for roadway and on-site improvements at and surrounding the City of Pawtucket’s public schools. Due to receiving complaints regarding traffic during school pick-up and drop-off hours, GM2 investigated various approaches to relieving the traffic congestion issues and improving the safety of conditions surrounding the pick-up and drop-off of students at 14 different public schools in Pawtucket.

This project involved extensive coordination with both the City of Pawtucket and the school administrations. GM2’s traffic engineers conducted an existing conditions survey, performed traffic data collection, review of bus schedules, and provided recommendations based on their findings.
