GM2 Associates provided Engineering and Inspection Services to oversee the rehabilitation of the Putnam Bridge carrying Route 3 over the Connecticut River. The bridge is a 14 span two-girder structure, 2,400 feet in length, carries four lanes of Route 3 traffic over the Connecticut River between Wethersfield and Glastonbury. Work included substantial repairs to the structural floor-beams and stringers, bridge deck expansion joints, bridge bearings, new parapets, median and illumination. The project included pedestrian access via a new sidewalk located on the south side of the bridge.
